Part 1: Vlog...check out the featured video called "Level Up"
Two sundays ago, the church gave me a ukata for being here for 1 year. This is probably the most special gift I've been given, because it represents such a special mile stone in my ministry here. It was perfect timing to get that ukata on sunday too because there just so happened to be a HUGE festival happening downtown. So, a bunch of friends from church went downtown to enjoy the festivities that afternoon.
Each prefecture in Japan has their own special festival in the summer time...I don't really know the best way to describe it other then they are kind of a big deal. Well, this year they decided to have a special festival in Sendai that celebrated all of Tohoku's summer festivals in one place. (The Tohoku region are the 6 most northern prefectures on the Honshu island) So the prefectures represented were, Aomori, Akita, Iwate, Yamagata, Miyagi (where I live) and Fukushima. Here are a few pictures from that day, enjoy!
